A Trip To Paris

Salut!
Paris the city of love and romance the home to some of the world's best art and culture. With so many fantastic restaurants, shops and wine bars on every corner, the world-class museums and attractions how can you not just love Paris

I went with one of my best friends named Lauren this was our first holiday together we took the Eurostar. Neither of us had been to Paris before, we was so excited for our first holiday and just to see Paris and explore.

We didn't do much on the first day because we was so tired so we tried to find a place to eat near the hotel we found a really nice pizza place. By the time we had finished raining it was raining and we wasn't prepared so we got wet.

Getting around Paris was not hard at all Google Maps helped a lot the people were helpful and our map reading skills was amazing. we didn't get lost, there was entertainment on the subway so that made the journey interesting. One our last day Lauren go pickpocketed on the subway but thank goodness she had her valuables in her sidebag and not  her bagpack the only thing they took was her sunglasses.

These are some of the places we visited while we was in Paris.

Saint-Eustache, Paris
Built 1532–1632, this Gothic church offers murals, sculptures & a large pipe organ. This is such a beautiful church it has a Gothic vibe because of the architecture and the interior design it still a worshiping place so we had to respect it accordingly

Bridge of the Archbishopric
This was so beautiful to see, all the locks and the significance behind them, the view from the bridge is really nice Seine river and the majestic Notre-Dame cathedral can be seen from the bridge. I am aware that this has now been banned as the weight of the locks can cause the bridge to collapse It is a romantic idea but I can understand why they don't want people attaching locks to.

Musée d'Orsay
This museum is massive and usually has a long queue to get in but it moves quite quick. Once you're inside you are exposed to a huge collection of impressing art it's so open and full of light. Just the entrance itself is enough to amaze you and it carries on through the rest of the museum  I obviously did not capture it all and the photos I took does not do the museum any justice but it truly is an amazing place to visit it has a little bit of something for everyone.

Arc de Triomphe

Here is another beautiful structure that you can't go to Paris without seeing the Arc du Triomphe. Unfortunately we didn't get to go up as we didn't have enough time this was on our last day and we still had other sites to visit. You don't even have to go inside and get to the top to appreciate it. Viewing it from across the street is enough we still had a good look of it since its located at the centre of a roundabout so you can appreciate the structure all around.

Eiffel Tower
Beautiful Iconic place it's great for newcomer, pairs and families there's two floors and the view is amazing but it can get abit cold. Lauren booked everything in advanced so we wouldn't be waiting around to go up. The first floor has Colouring Games, Movies of Eiffel, Restaurant, Snack counter and a place where one can have drinks, if you have the chance to go up why not .

Overall I had a wonderful time in Paris and I would defiantly go again on a different budget as myself and Lauren are both students and can only afford so much so maybe next time I would go again to experience Paris in a different way.
